Luxury cars are known for their exquisite styling and opulent features that are rarely found in vehicles priced less than $60,000. The cars also typically have powertrains designed for performance along with overall quality construction that ensures a smooth, quiet ride. A handful of cars were deemed to be the best luxury offerings for 2021.

 

2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

 

Consumers have a choice between a sedan, a coupe or a convertible. Each is also available with one of five different powertrains. The engines start with the base 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that delivers 362 hp to the twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 that puts our 621 hp. There are also seven trim levels from which to choose. Unique S-Class features include leather upholstery and wood trim. The dashboard spans more than two feet in length. Drivers get a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. The infotainment system also gets a 12.3-inch screen complete with a premium surround-sound 13-speaker stereo. More than one dozen standard driver-assist features and a rear-seat refrigerator are some of the many perks of the vehicles.

 

2021 Porsche Panamera

 

The vehicle is offered as a four-seat hatchback/sedan, a four-seat Executive and the five-seat wagon-like Sport Turismo. The 2021 models give consumers the choice of seven different powertrains. The base twin-turbocharged V6 produces 365 hp. On the other end of the spectrum, the twin-turbocharged V8 combines efforts with an electric motor to achieve 689 hp. All of the interiors come with leather upholstery, wood and metallic accents. Standard technological features include a 12.3-inch infotainment system touchscreen that has HD and satellite radio plus navigation ability. Bluetooth creates a personal Wi-Fi hotspot. The premium stereo has 10 speakers. Three USB ports charge devices. An electronic sunroof, power-opening doors and ambient lighting are some of the optional unique amenities.

 

2021 Audi A8

 

Recent enhancements for the 2021 models include ventilated and power-adjustable front seats with 22 settings, a wireless charging pad and a 360-degree view camera. The cars are available with a turbocharged V6 or one of two turbocharged V8 engines. Base Quatro models come with a panoramic sunroof, powered window shades, powered door closing, a powered trunk lid, a position-powered steering wheel and an automatically dimming rearview mirror. The infotainment system has dual-stacked touch-screens that include a 17-speaker stereo, HD and satellite radio, navigation ability, Bluetooth and voice command control.
